2nd Time was just as awesome as the first time!
A group of 10 friends stayed in the Joes Bungalow Yala, almost an year later after our first trip to this place. I am glad to say nothing has changed and everything remained the same.
The food was awesome. The pool was great and clean. Accommodation was great and the service staff did an immaculate job to make our stay a good one.
Keep up the good work Joes Bungalow Yala. Thumbs up!

Superb Wildlife Experience
It is located in a jungle clearing right next to the Yala National Park. Its a modern eco-lodge in the style of a safari bungalow.
There are 2 bedrooms with clean modern bathrooms, but to get the real outdoor experience you need to sleep outside on the veranda that has a number of beds. Its a wonderful feeling sleeping here with the breeze and listening to the sound of animal calls in the middle of the night.
There is a large swimming pool which was unexpected in the middle of the jungle and was a real treat for the kids after all those bumpy game drives inside the reserve.
At night elephants frequently come right up to the bungalow, although we did not see any nearby ourselves. There is a friendly, helpful caretaker and cook, although their English was limited that was no issue at all as everything was understood.
I would be hoping to come back here on my next trip for sure.

Jewel in the Jungle..! Excellent Stay..!
Hide inside the thick forest of Yala and dive in the beauty of Sri Lanka's wildlife.
We had a very pleasant stay at Joe's Bungalow yala for three days. non of the hotels can beat the super duper service and excellent location of this warm and cozy hotel.Sleeping in the open corridor was a nice experience and is safe as there was an elephant fence surrounding the hotel premises.
There was a large and clean pool next to the sleeping area.Morning was very nice with bright sunshine and bird songs. Staff was so helpful, kind and active. Especially the chef Karu's food was fabulous. we had an authentic sri lankan breakfast followed by milk rice and lunch with white and red rice and sri lankan curries of down south flavor .
By road to the hotel was not so good but a car can move safely. overall the bungalow and the staff was so amazing and I have no words to explain the memorable stay we had at Joe's Yala. Highly recommend

Superb place for a family outing or to have a rocking time with your friends. Clean and cosy place with different type of a experience .they provide the meals the way you want , at the time you want. Ideal place for big group of travellers . Very close to yala,wild life sanctuary .

Good experience, Nice place to relax.
Friendly staff, nice place to relax. Better place for 8 to 12 persons. 2 rooms with 2 beds per each. A/C is only for the rooms. Outside beds are available with mosquito nets. Windy environment. Approximately 20 mins. away from yala entrance. Can reach this place by any vehicle.
